Happy National Aviation Day!

Today holds a special place in our hearts! It's National Aviation Day!

This day was established in 1939 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to honor the birthday of Orville Wright, one-half of the legendary duo who achieved the world’s first powered flight in 1903.

Since then, Americans have marked this occasion with admiration and excitement for the wonders of flight—celebrating the freedom, innovation, and possibilities that come with taking to the skies.

Whether it’s soaring through Earth’s atmosphere or venturing into space, we’re passionate about flight in all its forms. Aeronautics teams all over are constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible—advancing high-speed flight, revolutionizing airframe and propulsion systems, developing cutting-edge aerospace engineering tools, and helping to shape the future of airspace safety and automation.

With more than a century of aviation research behind us, companies all over have played a key role in making air travel safer, more efficient, and more reliable for everyone.
